My client is a well-established, multi discipline building services and environmental engineering specialist consultancy. That has been operating across the Croydon area for over 15 years. With a fantastic reputation within the building services industry they are constantly expanding and looking to add more talent to their business.

They typically take on projects ranging from luxury residential new build to Educational.

As part of their growth, they are now looking to add an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their sizable team. The company currently has a team ranging from CAD Technicians, mechanical design engineers and electrical design engineers, they work in a supportive, social, collaborative and fun working environment for a firm that genuinely considers their staff to be their greatest assets.

Your new role

As one of the Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will report to the company Director.

You will be responsible for the following design procedures and maintaing records, you will be carrying out mechanical design work and working co-operatively with fellow Mechanical and Electrical engineers on projects. Meeting time and quality targets set by an Associate Mechanical Engineer and inform of any workload concerns, you need to Ensure drawing mark-ups are ready for CAD/explain any standards required. Producing schedules for specifications/compile parts of specifications as directed by Associate Mechanical Engineer, Assist with surveys, inspection and witnessing as required and Ensure familiarity with applicable statutory and legal regulations including H&S requirements.


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role you will need to have relevant experience to the job, as well as very good knowledge to methods. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' Experience in Building Services (MEP) either within a Consultancy, Degree qualified or equivalent in Mechanical engineering or Building Services.
