We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our busy team at our JCB Volkswagen dealership in Ashford, Kent. Candidates must be experienced, have a first class customer focus with strong people and communication skills. Being highly organised and pragmatic with the ability to learn new processes and systems with ease is a must. Previous Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) or a Main Dealer background would be advantageous. Reporting to the Service Manager, key objectives of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Ensure efficient workshop use of materials, equipment and labour so service and repairs are carried out to the highest quality standards
• Achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and retain existing custom through the workshop
• Improve the future labour levels by consulting and co-operating with after-sales reception staff and the Service Manager/Operations Manager
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with JCB Group’s, manufacturer and industry guidelines
• Help JCB Group to achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency and cost control

Key measures of the role are:

• Labour sales to achieve budget
• Margins to achieve budget
• Cost control
• Productivity / efficiency / utilisation of workshop against target
• VQM / JCB Group audit against standards and guidelines
• Customer satisfaction

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break and Saturday 08:00 to 13:00 on a rota basis.
