Commercial Services are working with Kent County Council on an exciting opportunity, they are looking to recruit a Commercial Contracts Officer within their Infrastructure directorate.
Job Purpose
The Commercial Contracts Officer is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of all legal, commercial and contractual aspects of KPSN contracts and agreements.
Act as the specialist lead by providing expertise and extensive commercial and contractual knowledge, delivering contractual management across KPSN and partner agencies.

2 Apply knowledge of contractual terms and conditions ensuring risk mitigation is embedded into third party contracts to provide high quality services to the KPSN and other related partnerships.
3 Manage the procurement strategy and identify appropriate sourcing strategies on a rolling programme of areas to be addressed which generate benefits and achieve financial savings whilst mitigating risk for KPSN and other related partnerships
4 Take responsibility for the day to day commercial and contractual relationship with Suppliers and have the ability to develop, apply and manage Key Performance Indicators.
5 Write contracts and schedules for procurement projects developed in conjunction with partner agencies and put in place appropriate agreements and contracts. Develop, negotiate and agree schedules and priorities for new services and ensure agreements are implemented and monitored.
6 Develop, manage and own Supplier dashboards on Supplier performance and produce executive reports.
7 Through effective supplier management, monitor performance to ensure targets and service levels are delivered.
8 Understanding and manage commercial risk within the contract and market place.
9 Develop, manage and present dashboards and Executive reports relating to Supplier performance
The ideal candidate will display a commercial mind-set and possessing contract management skills and abilities to ensure best value is achieved in current and future KPSN supplier contracts for the benefit of all partners.
Detailed awareness of up to date contractual and procurement legislation, supplier chain and contract management as well as relevant national and international legislation. Significant experience of Contract Management within a diverse and challenging technical ICT environment is preferred.
The successful candidate can come from a Public or Private Sector background.
