Buyer - Gillingham - £28 - 30k
Our client is currently recruiting a Buyer to join their team based in Gillingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in Buying and Purchasing.
Duties:
* Updating supplier details and product price accurately on the system
* Maintaining Fill Rate for Stocked lines through continuous open order book management
* Liaising with Purchasing Assistants to manage customer back orders
* Utilising negotiation skills to monitor vendor rebates
* Managing Freight costs to optimise costs for the supply chain
* Maintaining and developing supplier relationships
Requirements:
* Wholesale/Distribution or FMCG background desirable
* Motivation to achieve personal and company objectives
* Strong administration skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
* Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
* JDA E3 experience preferred
The ideal candidate will be a methodical, process driven and confident individual who is looking to progress within a well established company.
