SRG Construction are recruiting for a buyer to start In Sevenoaks, Kent. With our client being a leading Residential Main Contractor company based in the Centre of Sevenoaks and boasting over 60 years of building.

My clients candidate will need have experience in buying within the Residential house building industry, you will be working alongside a dedicated team giving their all to make sure all works are completed on time and within budget.

Main duties include
- Negotiating prices with clients
- Gaining suppliers knowledge & Building Relationships
- Ordering building materials and hiring plant
- Organising and confirming delivery dates and time scales
- Speaking directly with Site managers & Contracts Managers
- Obtaining quotations from existing approved suppliers
- General administration duties
- Maintaining small fleet of company vehicles.

Additional requirements

- Personal communication skills to deal effectively, efficiently and appropriately with tasks in hand either written or verbal.
- Knowledge of construction materials and plant
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload effectively and efficiently to meet changeable deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet project deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative, is not fazed by problems and has an ability to fine solutions.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry
- Ability to maintain electronic and paper administrative and information systems.
- Experience of Windows based software packages, including word, spreadsheets and email.
- Previous experience of buying would be advantageous.
