Job Information
We are looking to recruit an experienced, hardworking and reliable chef for our modern pie making factory in Borough Green, Kent. Goddard's Pies is a family run business and you will be at the heart of our food production.
Work life balance... A rare situation for chefs! You will work a 50 hour day shift Monday to Friday only. It is unusual for us to operate over the weekend.
As the main Chef you will be responsible for:
• Running daily hot kitchen operations: Producing our savoury pie fillings on a daily basis in small batches
• Managing our team of KP's
• Weekly and daily HACCP checks and reporting
• Ensuring all procedures are in place
• Stock control and ordering
To be successful in this role, you will:
• Have a minimum of 5 year’s experience as a chef in a large scale kitchen (commercial or similar)
• Be hands on and lead by example
• Have a passion for providing excellent food
• Be able to develop new pie flavours and recipes
• Integrate within our catering team environment
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times
• Ensure the management and implementation of safe working procedures and practices.
• Assist the Factory Manager in the efficient daily running of our production.
