We have an immediate requirement to take on a bright, client facing Graduate Quantity Surveyor in our Maidstone office. We have acquired several new projects across a number of sectors valued between £1m and £5m in and around London and Kent. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor needs to have sound experience of commercial / fit out projects with a good knowledge of the new build, refurbishment and fit-out sectors

We are looking for a successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our growing business, working from our Maidstone office with occasional site visits around Kent and central London. You will be joining a well-established and successful commercial team headed up by our Managing Director and under the guidance of the Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be working on a range of projects - mainly that of residential new build, fit-out and refurbishment.

It is Essential that the ideal candidate will be living in easy commuting distance of our central Maidstone office.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential:

• A relevant University degree and working towards APC/RICS qualifications
• 12 months PQS/Consultancy Experience

Main Responsibilities

• Assisting senior members of staff
• Working on various stages of projects from inception to completion
• Working within a team to meet deadlines
• Working within a team to meet budget targets
• Provide a high standard of quality work
• Accurate record keeping
• Minute taking of meetings
• Maintaining risk registers, Client reports and internal filing processes

Experience

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience required

• An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, members of the project team and our clients
• Must demonstrate attention to detail
• Must be good at problem solving and thinking ahead
