Shared Lives Carers (Hosts) open their homes to support people from the age of 18, with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or are living with dementia and older people.
To find out more why not pop along to our Information Evening, where you can meet our friendly team, speak to some existing Carers and people using the service Starts at 7pm 26th June 2019 - Singleton Village Hall, Hoxton Close, Singleton, Ashford, Kent, TN23 5LB
For Hosts it provides:
• A flexible, interesting job with a fantastic work life balance
• Great opportunities for skills development, working as a self employed professional with support from our team
You can offer three types of service from your home; however, we are only recruiting for Long Term and Short Breaks at the moment:
• Long term – where the person would live with you and your family
• Short Breaks (respite) – where the person would come and stay for the odd night, weekend or week
• Day Support – where you would support someone, based from your home, for up to 5 hours.
We are not saying this role is without it's challenges but it is possibly one of the most rewarding things you will ever do!
