Student Support Assistant (Weekdays)

£16,880 actual pa (based on 39 weeks/40 hour contract £9.50 per hour)



Do you have experience in residential care or as a support worker with children and learning disabilities? We are currently working with an education provider who is looking for Student Support Assistants to help assist students in a learning and/or residential environment.



This role is a Full time - TERM TIME ONLY, Permanent role and is based on 40 hours per week on set shifts.



You will need to be a committed individual who wants to make a difference by being responsible for enabling students to learn and helping each individual to achieve greater independence.



You will promote a caring environment and assist with a high standard of all personal care.

This role will also include a substantial amount of moving and handling as many of the students have physical disabilities and may be wheelchair bound.

Any experience working with children and of physical and medical needs is desirable but not essential for the role.

Successful candidates will be supported to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if not already achieved.
