Purchase Ledger Manager
Broadstairs
Our client, a local, well established manufacturer, importer and distributor of electronic goods located in Broadstairs, is currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Manager.
Working Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 5.30pm & Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm. The pay rate will be discussed on initial contact.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Obtaining approval for & posting all purchase invoices and credits.
* Raising purchase payments via both computerised and manual cheques.
* Raising foreign payments via AMEX and BIP.
* Supplier statement reconciliations.
* Dealing with account queries.
* Assisting in the maintenance of the import container schedule and working with the Management Accountant to understand the impact on cashflow.
* Reviewing royalty invoices with the Sales Director.
* Checking courier invoices.
* Raising sales invoices and credits in respect of the Operating division.
* Posting and allocating Operating division sales receipts.
* Credit control in respect of outstanding Operating sales ledger balances.
* Bank reconciliations for all Operating division bank accounts.
* Reviewing company credit card statements, checking to receipts and posting on to Exchequer.
* Reviewing machine invoices and credits.
* Checking transport costs are correctly recharged to customers.
* Month end procedures, including daybook postings & updating exchange rates.
* Filing, photocopying & general office duties.
* Assisting team members and other departments as required, including occasional payroll cover.
Person Specification
* Ability to cope with large volumes of paperwork
* Excel skills
* Experience of Exchequer is preferred, but not essential.
