Claims Adjuster
6 month contract

The Claims department aim to be market-leaders in the provision of an efficient, cost-effective and professional service to our brokers and clients. Their vision is to be the most customer focused, nimble and value adding claims team in the market. They strive to be pro-active and flexible in the management of claims whilst maintaining integrity. The claims team works with the underwriting team in order to facilitate close communication and exchange of ideas, and is an integral part of the product and customer service delivered to clients.
Duties and accountabilities
·Assist with the management of claims emanating from the Italian Public Officials portfolio which includes another full time claims resource.
·Interact and manage TPA's in place to ensure compliance with SLA's and high quality performance is maintained accordingly.
·Ensure accurate claims management including reserving philosophy and diary management to pro-actively monitor and drive claims performance.
·Identify, monitor, and report on key complex losses to senior management and actuarial department. Identify any additional losses to be monitored via the watch-list.
·Drive, facilitate and deliver a customer focused approach to claims which is measurable through: speed of service and open, honest and personable communications with all brokers and (re)insureds.
·Provide high quality commentary on the weekly movements, monthly and quarterly reports to your management reporting line, highlighting significant new notifications, claim trends or developments.
·Ensure peer reviews are completed and any actions arising are completed, evidenced and escalated as appropriate.
·Carry out the required claim audits and have oversight of the outcome, actions arising and ensuring these are followed up appropriately, actioned and documented.
Skills, knowledge and experience
·Have a working knowledge of professional indemnity business preferably emanating from an Italian portfolio
·Be an experienced claims practitioner with relevant London Market experience
·Ideally have Italian language skills but not essential
·Experience liasing with TPA's
·Be customer focused, in particular to understand the importance of the quality, clarity and speed of service delivery.
·Have written and spoken communication skills in the English language
·Experience in account reviews and audits
