Trainee Claims Technician

About the Role
The role will be quite varied as they handle claims for old legacy portfolios, a number of Loss Fund clients with a large amount of reconciliation and client interaction along with reporting.
Administration of clients' claims, including providing advice to clients on claims process, issuing and administering claims forms, chasing insurers, underwriters and loss adjusters for settlement.
Liaison with insurers, underwriters and loss adjusters on client claims.
Provide technical claims advice and support to management and the Claims staff.
Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
Manage claims on behalf of clients, provide advice on whether a claim is covered, issue and administer claims forms, negotiate the claims settlement and ensure prompt payment to the client.
Actively monitor progress on outstanding claims and provide timely and accurate feedback to clients and placing brokers.
Input data onto the system, ECF and internal systems (spreadsheets, Outlook etc.)
Liaise with insurers, underwriters, loss adjusters and other third parties regarding the administration of claims.
Full training will be provided. We are seeking a University/College or school leaver with some exposure to the Insurance Industry.
