This is a new position in the marketing and communications team. It’s an exciting time to join the team. With an industry leading reputation, this company have recently expanded in the criminal justice sector.

Working alongside the Head of Group Marketing and Communications and senior leaders you will be involved in developing, delivering and evaluating the internal communications strategy for probation services. You will also provide communications consultancy and support to colleagues on volunteer engagement.

The ideal candidate will be resourceful and self-motivated, with previous experience of, managing internal communications, including digital communications management and internal event organisation. You will provide compelling communications to employees, helping to promote an engaged and motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver internal communications plans.
Develop and deliver communications plans to acquire and retain volunteers.
Advise on internal communications, change management, employee and volunteer engagement practices.
Creation, production and maintenance of digital and offline content and internal channels.
Organise employee seminars/conferences/other events.
Continuously improve internal communications channels and platforms, working within resources available.
To champion organisational brand identity and consistently apply brand identity guidelines.
Travel to locations in England and Wales to participate in face to face meetings.

Skills and Experience

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a communications environment, gained inhouse and/or consultancy-side.
Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating internal communications plans.
Experience of commissioning and managing communications services from third party suppliers, e.g. print, design, copywriting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information without losing key messages.
Excellent standard of writing, able to write in plain English and produce tailored, engaging copy and able to change style of writing for varied audiences.
Strong creative outlook.
Strong IT skills, able to create and edit intranet content management systems, email delivery systems, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Experience of supporting organisations through change.
An up to date knowledge of enabling technology to support delivery of communication strategies.
