A Procurement Officer is required to join a local government body.
This is a superb opportunity for an established Procurement/Category Officer to join a skilled, dynamic department.
Key duties will include:
* To provide support to Category Manager in developing and promoting innovative approach to procurement and market analysis with direct involvement in setting up new methods of service delivery to achieve best value in procurement.
* Offering advice on Service Standing Orders relating to Procurement, tendering, contracts and use of the Agresso Purchase to Pay system.
* To plan, co-ordinate, implement and manage a range of sourcing events and contract management to ensure continuous improvement and cost effective service
Ideally CIPS qualified - you will be an experienced procurement/category professional - adept at reviewing and analysing large tender and contract documentation.
Applicants will need to have experience of working within a local government or authority setting, or perhaps local authority, council, or NHS setting in order to be considered. An adept communicator, you will be able to work effectively in the team, but also independently, too.
