Design Manager Role - Based in Mid Kent - Salary up to £55k + benefits
Your new company
My Client is a leading main contractor in the construction industry. They operate across a range of sectors including; education, health, housing, industrials amongst others. They have a national presence but utilise their regional offices to take advantage of leading, complex and advantageous projects in these areas. Over the next 3 years they have a clear strategy to take their annual turnover from £50 million - £80 million, where project values range from £750k - £20 million.
They are looking for a Design Manager to help lead the Design and Architecture team in their upcoming projects, as well as grow within the company.
Your new role
You will be responsible for communicating between various departments within the company and ensuring that the design process has been followed through thoroughly and accurately by all teams. You will oversee the design drawings and make finishing touches, and ensure the construction team implement the drawings accurately.
You will also spend a percentage of your time out on site overseeing the projects and ensuring the design process is followed accurately into the construction stages.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an Architect with proven experience working on large projects. You will have good understanding of the design and building process. You may be from a design or technical background and looking to take the next step in your career. You will need to be AutoCAD or Revit proficient
