The International Association of Language Centres (IALC) is a leading international association of language centres that teach the language of their country, with more than 100 members worldwide. We recruit members selectively and need to ensure their continuing excellence as we promote them through events, online and other marketing initiatives.
The Administrative Assistant provides all-round, flexible support to the IALC team, which is responsible for the association’s marketing, events, member recruitment, accreditation and general administration. IALC is based in the centre of Canterbury.
Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week)
Main Duties:
- Updating and maintaining information in our database (Salesforce)
- Answering the phone and general email enquiries
- Marketing and events support
- General and financial administration
- Quality Assurance documentation support
- Maintaining marketing materials stock
- Other tasks as and when required by the company
Skills & Attributes:
- Well-organised and efficient
- Accurate and attention to detail
- Flexible and team-oriented
- Fast and willing learner
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Previous administrative experience essential – minimum of a year in an office environment
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A bachelor degree required
- Good IT skills including competency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Fluency in one of the languages taught by our members is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) industry advantageous
Salary: This will be discussed at the interview stage, and will be dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
