Position Expectations
The post holder is responsible for driving efficiency and quality throughout the company. Responsible for evaluating business practices to identify ways to improve productivity, reduce costs and make the best use of business’s resources.
In order to achieve this the post holder is responsible for delivering an Integrated Management System and associated improvement projects that deliver continual improvement in the quality of the company’s services to our customers by:

• Providing a clear documented management system
• Raising employee engagement and productivity
• Reducing baseline costs
• Breaking down internal silos
• Seeking better alignment between strategy, objectives and organisational capabilities.

The post holder will work closely with managers and staff across the company and undertake a leadership role that champions customer and stakeholder value and puts quality at the heart of how we work.
The post holder will work closely with safety and environmental colleagues and take responsibility for delivering an integrated management system that efficiently and effectively supports all 3 disciplines and meets the requirements of ISO9001, OHSAS18001/ISO45001 and ISO14001.

Key Duties

• To ensure that the Integrated Management System is improved and maintained for all activities carried out within the company’s jurisdiction; including those of its tenants, contractors and supply chain in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001, OHSAS18001/ISO45001 and ISO4001 standards.
• To maintain a system for control of all management system documents.
• To plan and manage an internal audit programme in order to give assurance to the board of the effectiveness of the management system and to liaise with certification and other external audit agencies.
• Integrate the quality, environmental and safety management systems in order to deliver a more efficient and effective total management system for all.
• Advise management on the formulation and suitability of processes and procedures throughout the whole product life cycle in order to deliver a quality service to our customers.
• To be responsible for the company’s SHEQ policy and annual objectives and targets.
• To ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators to measure the efficiency of the company’s products and services.
• To liaise with staff, customers, stakeholders, contractors and the supply chain to improve efficiencies in all processes, eliminating single points of failure wherever possible.
• Coach colleagues across the organisation to change perceptions of quality through education, training and awareness so that people buy in to the process and see the value.
• To identify and report on any issues and risks that affect service delivery and ensure the introduction of appropriate risk control measures.
• To investigate any NCRs and deviations in service and implement options for quality standards and quality control measures.
• Design and lead the delivery of a system of inspections, calibrations and audits that provide adequate quality control and assurance on the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and associated processes.
• To provide a report of progress to the Board and senior managers on a monthly and annual basis and prepare other documents and reports as required.

Skills and Experience
• Practitioner of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), IRCA or equivalent
• Lead auditor ISO9001
• Extensive experience in implementing and managing an integrated Quality, Safety and Environmental management system.
• Proven experience in delivering improved service delivery through the implementation of ISO compliant management systems.
• Extensive experience auditing a wide range of industry types.
• Practical knowledge of ISO9001, OHSAS18001/ISO45001 and ISO14001
• Good communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation
• A strong commercial awareness
• Must have ability to quickly build rapport and trusting relationships with people of all levels both internally & externally
• Must be comfortable imparting knowledge and challenging individuals in the interests of maintaining standards
• Ability to gain credibility, respect and confidence
• Excellent report writing skills.
