Membership Development Officer

We are Parentkind, a leading charity that inspires and enables parents to play an active role in their children’s education, so that every child can thrive. As Parentkind enters a new phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Development Officer to join our Head Office in Tonbridge, Kent.

Who you are:
You’re ideally in a development or membership role and be looking for a varied and diverse role. You are a self-starter and have a desire to keep the wheels turning whilst working collaboratively and managing external stakeholders. You will be analytical, solution focused and creative.

You will have the confidence to work in a busy ambitious environment and have worked to targets.

You are comfortable multi-tasking, using CRM platforms, and take pride in your verbal and written communication skills. Most importantly, you’re ambitious, positive, friendly and a real team player.

Our ideal candidate will have a high degree of initiative and judgement and experience within a school/educational setting.

The role:
Working closely with the Development Manager you will be involved in supporting the growth and development of our memberships across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Under the guidance of the Development Manager the post holder will assess audience needs, build an understanding of membership expectations and work on initiatives to grow both the membership offering and scope to attract and coordinate the development to recruit new members.

Parentkind is proud to be the leading membership organisation for parent teacher associations and equivalent groups with over 13,500 PTA members and a newly launched Parent Council membership pilot.

This is a pivotal revenue role within our strategic direction to support, engage and champion parent and parent groups participating fully in school life and education.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Up to £25,000, depending on experience
