Test Analyst - 12 Month Contract

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Salary: £40,000

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm



The Company

My client is a leading and expanding motor insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition, and are in The Times Top 100 Companies to work for. They are now looking to recruit a Third Part Claims Handler to pro-actively handle a portfolio of third Party motor claims across various skillsets.



Role

Working as part of a busy team based in Tunbridge Wells providing software testing services to support technology delivery across the group. The main focus of testing will be for web, Buy-on-line and bespoke systems developed internally.





Responsibilities:

* Supports the entire development process from a testing perspective, using test processes and standards.
* Creates and maintains test scripts to support continuous integration/build processes, cross platform/browser and mobile device testing.
* Manages the defect tracking and resolution process, coordinating feedback between developers, testers, users and other stakeholders.
* Has the ability to quickly learn and gain knowledge on new applications, systems and software testing functions and processes.
* Has the ability to quickly learn and manage all aspects of HP Quality Centre/ALM test tool.
* Works with the team in order to ensure that all priority testing projects are managed and completed in time.
* Supports other team members and less experienced Test Analysts to ensure that skills are cross managed.



Qualifications:



* Familiar with high transaction e-commerce applications and websites.
* An Enthusiastic approach and eagerness to learn.
* Familiar with the purpose of software testing.
* Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to track and manage any issue found through to resolution.
* Ability to understand design patterns and practices and translate these into appropriate test strategies.
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and development teams.
* Must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage own projects and changes under test and report detailed progress on these.
* Must be a team player and be able to support the team when required.
