The Job Role
Due to career changes, Rap seek a new accounts manager for our very busy head office in Maidstone, Kent to work with an attitude to hard work.

It is essential that the right candidate has had previous experience in this role whilst knowledge of the construction, refurbishment and fit out company would also be beneficial but not essential operating from Sage 50. We would love someone with a great personality and sense of humour.

The right applicant will need experience and knowledge in the following:

• Process invoices and payments using Sage Line 50 accounts
• Control of both debtors and creditors
• Suppliers and Sub contractors invoicing
• Understanding of VAT
• Previous experience with monthly CIS returns
• Managing money within the bank accounts to earn interest and keep within the overdraft.
• Process monthly payroll including BACS payments
• Ensuring all invoices and postings are correctly posted to relevant job numbers
• Doing monthly CIS returns, sending subcontractor statements
• Regularly maintaining the aged creditors and debtors ledgers, running reports and chasing accordingly, ensuring Cash flow is maintained
• Use Sage NOTES/MEMO to record last conversations for others to follow
• Reconciling control accounts and clearing mispostings account at month end
• Posting prepayments and accruals at month end

On top of this you will also be checking projects monthly. Passing files and reports for job costing.

Correctly filing orders, invoices and payments into relevant files check codes for budget control and report to the Directors any concerns.

Stationery control, managing ordering and asking team for orders.
Have input into figure reporting to the whole team at these meeting on profit and loss to last month end and to what % we are making a profit at.
Collating work in progress figures, from senior managers and inputting to create monthly management accounts.

Training in monthly management accounting can be provided, if you feel you are perfect for this role but lack experience in this,


There is an amazing drive at RAP office for hard work and reward but we need someone to rely on as this is a busy role and we require someone with the right skills such as Accuracy, Good Timekeeping, Outstanding Communication, Working Under Pressure, Attention to Detail, Eye for Figures, Working to Deadlines, Good Maths and English, and Competence in Xcel, Sage and Word.
RAP deliver projects to the office interiors sector, Education, healthcare and Industrial sectors, along with a dedicated design, space planning team, and business relations and have an enviable reputation with excellent relationships with our clients and an approx 75% repeat business Statistic.


What Can you Expect
Rap Interiors offer a Pension scheme, 20 days holiday plus Bank holidays, Salary £24,000-£28,000 is negotiable depending on experience, knowledge and proof you have commitment and can deliver to Rap standards.
Hours of working can sometimes need flexibility as sometimes you have to work a bit late to meet deadlines. .
We do have an office dog, so please bear this in mind, as not everyone likes working with animals.
