This role is suited to an enthusiastic, motivated, HCPC-registered social worker who will be responsible for providing social work oversight to our referrals function and managing foster carer assessments.
You will develop professional relationships with Local Authorities and freelance assessors and deliver Skills to Foster training sessions. You will be part of an ambitious, positive team and you will be integral to the growth of the agency.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, allocate and monitor Form F assessments and annual reviews
- Complete Form F quality assurance checks
- Supervise and support freelance assessors
- Coordinate Panel meetings
- Develop and facilitate Skills to Foster training for prospective foster carers
- Provide social work input/vetting of referrals and assistance with initial matching
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Local Authorities and promote carer vacancies
- Have exploratory discussions with Local Authorities at initial matching stage
- Participate in recruitment plans and activities for foster carers
- Occasional completion of initial visits
- Review initial visit reports and provide feedback and opinion on suitability of applicants
- To provide general social work support and guidance
- Supervise a team and manage their work to ensure a high-quality service
