Mission Care has had the privilege of providing residential and nursing care to vulnerable adults in South London for over 110 years. Today we have five homes, four in the London Borough of Bromley, and one in Southwark and pride ourselves on providing exceptional person-centred care to all of our residents.
We now have exciting opportunities for a Clinical Lead to join our experienced Clinical team.
Summary of duties:
Our Clinical Leads work as part of a team providing quality physical, emotional and spiritual person-centred care to our residents. Duties will include:
·Supporting Registered Manager with staff performance
·Coaching and mentoring new staff
·Conduct staff handovers
·Regularly developing, implementing and reviewing individual care plans, assuming responsibility for supervision of residents
·Working as part of a team alongside colleagues to deliver best practice at all times
·Implementing a person-centred approach to care, promoting the independence, individuality and personal choice of all residents
·Assessing the needs of individual residents and identifying any issues or problems, referring them to the General Practitioner or other multi-disciplinary team
·Promoting an environment that encourages learning and continual professional development
·Assisting with the assessment of referrals both at the home and in hospital, playing an active role in welcoming new residents to their home
·Maintaining personal clinical development, practicing in accordance with NMC guidelines and directives
·Contributing to the effective leadership of staff
Skills required:
To be considered for this post, you must have a valid NMC Pin Number. Previous experience working in a nursing home environment with an understanding of dementia is beneficial. Above all, a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
Working in a care home environment, you will have a genuine passion and desire to work with the elderly and those living with dementia. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be person-centred in your approach to residents.
