The Role:

To manage a team of 2 direct reports + 1 remote Demand Planner based in Singapore.
To assist the UK, Export and Interco Commercial teams to develop sales forecasts for all their products.
To manage the UK, Export and Interco forecasts for all their products.
To work with Sales teams based in UK, France & Germany and Global distributors based in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific Regions.
To maintain the Manugistics forecasting system with all the data necessary to support the entry and storage of forecasts and to produce accuracy KPIs.
To lead improvement in the accuracy of sales forecasts.
Working collaboratively to facilitate and strengthen the C&D S&OP process


REGULAR DUTIES:

Responsible for establishing demand and forecasting processes to connect and align all areas for UK sourced products for UK Domestic, Export and Inter-company
To deliver a 18-month forecast for UK Domestic, Export and Inter-company
To manage the direct reports of 2 Demand planners and 1 Demand Analyst based in UK and 1 indirect in Singapore
To intelligently challenge sales forecasts where significant changes have occurred and explain their reason for changing.
To ensure correct entry of UK, Export and Interco forecasts into the Manugistics system.
To examine and discuss launch forecasts for New Product Introductions to ensure initial purchases are not either excessive or inadequate.
To alert Supply Chain on anticipated demand changes likely to be of an exceptional nature.
Develop the use of Manugistics in line with developing Business needs.
To review historical data and where current forecasts do not fit the historical trend flag this as an issue and use best judgement to input into SAP best forecast estimate using all data.
Help the organisation develop and continuously improve it’s S&OP process


RESPONSIBILITIES:

To maintain the Manugistics system with updated sales forecasts
To prepare forecast accuracy KPIs monthly using Manugistics and other tools as necessary.
To continuously improve forecast accuracy using best statistical data and regular communication with the commercial teams.
Manage the ongoing forecasts for Inter-company and Germany division
To run the SAP Unconsumed forecast report with a view to discussing realignments or cancellations of current sales forecasts.
Prepare a presentation on Demand changes and forecast ac curacies for the Demand meeting to mitigate any potential risks and submit to the decisions meeting where requiredTo manage the UK, Export and Inter-co customers where necessary to ensure updated forecasts are received monthly on a timely basis.


PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of the Demand Planning team
Close liaison with colleagues in NPI and Supply Chain teams
Close liaison with Sales and Marketing teams
Support the French& German business as needed in role of European lead in Demand Planning.
Work with US counterparts to ensure best practice is shared.


EDUCATION AND PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ideally educated to degree level.
A knowledge of Demand Planning, New Product Introduction and Supply Chain procedures is essential.
A good all round education, excellent computer literacy skills and good communication skills are required.
Having worked in a forecasting environment particularly with SAP and Manugistics in the past would be advantageous.
