Starting Salary £26,460 per annum, with opportunity for progression to £30,168

Permanent - Full Time - 37 hours per week

Thanet District Council are delighted to offer an opportunity for a motivated officer with a passion for parking and forming transport policy within the Thanet District.

The successful applicant will undertake a range of functions within the Civil Enforcement department.

The role will support and deputise for the Uniformed Services Enforcement Manager in managing the transportation, travel and parking provisions across the district of Thanet and assist in the production of robust and comprehensive traffic, parking and travel policies that meets the needs of the district.
The role requires extensive experience of working within a Parking/Traffic environment, and a sound understanding of Parking Policies and Traffic Regulation Orders.
The successful applicant must be able to evidence the ability of writing Traffic Regulation Orders and reports on traffic management issues.
The Department is involved in daily contact and work with the public so good communication skills is essential as well as having the ability to build relationships with an array of stakeholders including members of the council, local communities and businesses.

Any applicants must have a Traffic Regulation Order qualification or have the relevant experience. If this role sounds like an exciting challenge then we would love to hear from you.

This post requires you to have a full driving licence and own transport, or requires travelling to sites in a timely manner equivalent to motor travel in your own car.
