Looking to get into teaching? Do you want to kick start your teaching career with a large, highly successful Multi-Academy Trust, rated the best performing Multi Academy Trust for KS4 progress (Department for Education, 2018) and nominated TES Employer of the Year in 2018? The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is currently seeking to recruit trainee teachers on the School Direct Programme.

We will be holding an event focusing on routes into teaching via the School Direct programme, at The Victory Academy in Chatham, on 8th January 2019 at 5:00pm. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to recruitment@tsatrust.org.uk. More information can be found at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/routes-into-teaching-school-direct-at-the-thinking-schools-academy-trust-tickets-53912311174

An exciting opportunity to join one of our Academies based in the Medway area:

• Holcombe Grammar School
• The Rochester Grammar School
• The Victory Academy
• New Horizons Children’s Academy
• The Gordon Children’s Academy
• Cedar Children’s Academy
• All Faiths Children’s Academy

Our teacher training courses enable you to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the option of upgrading to a full Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) – both of these are recognised both nationally and internationally.

We are able to offer high quality training and support from experienced teachers, including regular mentoring sessions. A high percentage of trainees move on to Teaching jobs at Schools within our Trust after completing their training.

This is a teacher-training route, which may attract a bursary of up to £30,000 – the amount is dependent on your subject area and whether you train to teach at Primary or Secondary level. Bursaries are subject to eligibility and the amounts are announced each year by the Department for Education – specific details can be found at https://bit.ly/2NWUvnN. You may also be eligible to take out a Student Loan, if needed. Trainee Teachers can use this to cover study and living costs. If you have any queries about bursaries, please contact us at recruitment@tsatrust.org.uk.

As part of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, our Academies benefit from working cohesively as a family of schools for the benefit of our children, and for the adults who work here too. The Trust supports with planning, trips, events, CPD and much more to ensure that all of our teachers are fully supported, enabling them to ensure that they can deliver the best learning that we can offer.

What you will need to succeed:
• You will be an enthusiastic candidate with the potential and desire to become an outstanding teacher
• We want to employ teachers who work well both individually and as part of a team, and are keen to seek CPD
• We are looking for aspiring leaders of learning who are happy to grasp exciting opportunities and contribute to the values, ethos and development of our schools
• You will be dedicated to ensure that all of our children achieve their very best, passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook and interpersonal skills.

We strongly encourage any teachers who may be interested in working at one of our schools to contact our recruitment team recruitment@tsatrust.org.uk to book a no-pressure tour of any of our schools and to meet some of our staff, or apply online to the New Horizons Training Partnership.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
