We are seeking Support Workers to join our brand new service based in the beautiful grounds of Hothfield Manor, on the outskirts of Ashford. Our new service will support a female service user in a bungalow setting. The service will be staffed 24 hours a day with a minimum of two staff at all times and we are seeking staff who share similar passions who can provide the highest standards of care and support.

Lady A

Lady A has a good sense of humour and enjoys photography and writing letters. She requires help with shopping and travelling around the local community. The Role of Support Worker

As a Support Worker you will ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered to our service users, encompassing all activities of daily living. You will act as a role model and will be actively involved in engaging service users with daily activities, educational and behavioural support programmes and leisure/recreational activities.

Staff will need to help with food preparation, medication, carrying out general tasks like housework, laundry and shopping, assisting service users to manage budgets, paying bills and writing letters.

You will develop and maintain a good level of awareness of safeguarding, protection issues and the individual procedures required to promote the safety and wellbeing of our service users and to raise any concerns with key professionals and managers. You will develop and maintain accurate plans, reports and records and contribute towards risk assessments and care plans for service users. You will develop competence in administering medication in line with Service Policy and Procedures.

Support Workers will be expected to work a mixture of day and night shifts, including weekends on a rota system.

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who want to make a positive difference to our service users. You do not need experience of health and social care and full training will be provided, however you do need to have compassion and a positive attitude.
