DevOps Engineer

Location: UK-Kent-Tunbridge Wells

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience + an excellent benefits package.

Leading Insurance Company with an excellent client base are seeking to attract a DevOps Engineer to join there vibrate development team in Tunbridge Wells.

Looking for a DevOps engineer to join an existing scrum development team. The company try to avoid silos of knowledge so the role will involve working with team members to determine and then fully automate the build and release process.



Project

The project is a multiple award winning IOT, high throughput / big data insurance telematics & video solution.



Responsibilities:

Essential Skills

* Experience using the Microsoft technology stack
* Continuous Integration
* Implementing and configuring a Build Server, software such as Team City, Jenkins, Travis CI, VSTS

* Continuous Delivery
* Deployment Software such OctoDeploy, Jenkins, GoCD, VSTS

* Familiarity with Git and GitFlow
* Powershell
* Knowledge of container software such as Docker
* Security
* Setting up secure endpoints, SSL
* Configuration/password management
* Cloud Architecture (Azure or AWS)
* Infrastructure as Code, Arm Templates or equivalent
* Monitoring/Logging
* Resiliency - Availability Sets, Availability Zones, Regions
* Windows O/S, IIS

Non Essential Skills (possibility to learn on the job)

* .NET
* SQL and NoSQL database technologies
* IOT
* Npm, Webpack
* Working with Geospatial data
* Azure Big Data technologies, DataLake, Sql Data Warehouse, Azure Databricks
