This is a new key managerial role which will deliver an innovative approach to the management of the estate resources of a public sector client. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the Trust Estates strategy in their locality. This will involve optimising the use of the estate in the delivery of the service strategy. The post holder will need to coordinate the use of the estate across multiple services, sites and stakeholders. This will require complex negotiations and influencing skills coupled with high level project management capabilities.
The post will be the day-to-day operational lead for the estates functions taking responsibility for the delivery of a compliant high quality, safe, efficient and value for money service. The post holder will be responsible for a budget of approximately £6.5 million. In the implementation of the strategy, an innovative approach to the management of estate including Hard FM, space utilisation and coordination will be required.
The post holder will have a responsibility for the safe operation of the estate, with particular emphasis on key identified locations although this scope may be broadened from time to time depending upon operational demands to include the whole property portfolio and space occupancy. This will require working closely with the Health Safety, Fire and Security team to ensure that responses are timely and cohesive.
