Maintenance Engineer / Technician - Days

My Client, a worldwide, customer focused Manufacturer of every day products, is now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer / Technician - Days to provide support to the Production Lines.
You will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturing assets operate at benchmark reliability and for providing specialist engineering support to the relevant teams.
The Role: Maintenance Engineer / Technician - Days
Take ownership of Electrical issues
To provide technical support and coordination
Champion good engineering practices to protect and improve the equipment
Ensure the practical application of best maintenance practices.
Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Provide technical advice and expertise on operation and optimisation of equipment and processes.
Contribute to reliability improvements in relation to site wide electrical issues
Lead the development of troubleshooting documentation and equipment standards
Provide Capital project support including equipment specification, safety system specifications
Identify areas for asset improvement
Contribute to the training and development of electrical maintenance personnel
Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Maintenance Engineer / Technician - Days
A recognised Electrical Apprenticeship - OR Engineering qualification, typically HNC, in electrical/electronic engineering.
Manufacturing background - ideally FMCG
Electricity at Work Regulations
Basic leadership skills
PLC systems ie: Allen Bradley, Siemens
AC and Servo drives
DC drives
Production and packaging equipment
Robot palletisers
Safety systems/ EN13849-1
