My Client, a Manufacturer of equipment that is vital to a whole host of diverse Industries, is growing their workforce and now looking to recruit an experienced Machinist / Assembler to join their small team.
The Role: Lathe / Milling Machine Operator
Operate a manual centre lathe and manual milling machine.
Manufacture prototype components, one off items and small batches of components.
Carry out mechanical assembly tasks.
Ensure adherence to the manufacturing documentation system and general operating procedure at all times.
To carry out any duties that may be required from time to time.
Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Lathe / Milling Machine Operator
Apprenticeship served
Must be fully competent in the use and have extensive experience of using manual lathes and milling machines
Experience in producing small precision components
Have experience in a manufacturing environment
You must be competent at mathematics.
Experience of using a wide variety of different metals and alloys
Able to read and understand technical drawings.
The ability to use all types of measuring equipment, metric and imperial.
The ability to lift and carry light loads.
