Senior Marketing Executive / Manager, Dartford, £35,000 - £45,000



Main purpose of role:

The Senior Marketing Executive / Manager strategically develops and implements the Group's advertising, marketing and communications programs regarding its services, to build brand awareness and increase sales.

Key result areas:

* Lead the development of a Marketing and Communications strategy that is consistent with the objectives and goals of each of our subsidiary companies within the Group
* Play a lead role in the Group's efforts to build a strong brand in all forms of media, for each company within the Group
* Determine annual marketing budget (for approval by the Board) required to deliver the strategic platforms and allocates spend accordingly
* Create and implement strategic and tactical marketing/media plans and initiatives that include print, online, tradeshows, and social networking opportunities
* Maintain a dynamic and engaged presence on the Group's social media and develop a stronger presence on all social media channels
* Ensure company websites are regularly updated with new and relevant content by writing content and sourcing from colleagues across the Group's family of companies
* Monitor the performance of company websites to increase the usage and impact of the website Social Media
* Keep up to date with social media trends and effectively engage with existing and potential clients that benefit the Group
* Support Directors and other staff to develop content for articles, blogs and other content for publication in a range of influential publications
* Provide marketing support with bid writing and producing professional submissions
* Create, write and execute publicity campaigns, press releases and news alerts to generate press around significant events for the Group's Marketing
* Develop strong relationships with a large and influential network of media and sector contacts and keep them informed about developments in the Group with the objective for regular articles and content to appear across a range of UK, trade and sector media
* Oversee the production of impactful marketing collateral for the Group that meets the needs of each subsidiary company to promote itself to specific audiences
* Support the Directors and other staff to organise events across the UK that seek to raise the profile of the group and inform and influence clients and potential clients
* Manage corporate branding guidelines and email signatures and mini signature campaigns

Person Specification:

* Superior creative and technical writing skills
* Keen eye for detail and ability to produce high quality content
* Demonstrated experience in internet architecture, direct mail, print and electronic advertising
* Strong creativity and marketing skills
* Ability to generate multiple and varied ideas
* Experience representing companies at trade events
* Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple projects and competing work demands
* Ability to see the "big picture" while managing several small projects
* Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Advanced IT skills in Power Point, Excel, and Word
* Familiarity with Google Analytics and AdWords campaigns
* Ability to problem-solve job-related issues
* Educated to degree level or equivalent with formal marketing training or qualification (e.g. CIM)
* Demonstrated background in content management, creative writing, technical writing, advertising concepting, social media, print, media negotiations, and digital advertising
* An understanding of the building services industry would be beneficial but not essential
