Wi-Fi Configuration Technician

2 – 3 Months Temporary Work

Our client is a manufacturing company with their main operation based in Dunfermline in Scotland. They have opened a new Warehouse operation based on the Medway City Estate in Rochester, Kent & are looking for someone who has excellent PC skills to configure Wi-Fi equipment on their computer system.

The plan is to start with them in mid-January 2019 on a 2 - 3 months Temporary/Ongoing basis. Following on from this contract, work load/contract depending, there may be the requirement for you to continue with them on their next contract.

You must have excellent experience & PC skills to be able to configure Wi-Fi equipment proficiently on the PC. This will all be computer work.

Looking further into the Project there may be a need for a stores person with forklift licence & a driver with driving license and a forklift licence so if you have a forklift licence & a valid driving licence this would be very beneficial as you could move into this role.

Part of the business is to manufacture & supply kits of material consisting of metalwork, cables, wires, etc that are configured to the customer’s specification, and delivered to a rail depot of the customers choosing. In this case their customer based in Chatham supplies Public Access Wi-Fi for trains. It is the company's job to take the customers product and integrate it with metal brackets and boxes made at their site in Dunfermline, ship them to and then kit them up in the Medway City Estate Warehouse operation and deliver them to the customer’s installer. 

Required Skills:

* PC literate with Wi-Fi Configuration experience

* Computer literate & must be able to use Excel

A standard 38 hour working week, this would be from 7.45am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday with an earlier finish on a Friday at 1.00pm. There is a 15 minute break in the morning and a 25 minute break at lunchtime Monday to Thursday and a 20minute break on a Friday. However that said, we can be flexible with this to suit local arrangements.

Salary: £9.00 per hour

Start Date: TBC but at the moment it is thought to be W/C 14th January so you must be available to start on or around this date & be available for the full length of the assignment, most probably for the next 2 – 3 months ongoing after starting.
