International Research and Project Coordinator – Maternity Cover

Polypipe, a FTSE 250 company, is a leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems for the residential, commercial, civils and infrastructure sectors. Our Aylesford, Kent site is currently looking for an International Research and Project Coordinator to join our International Office Department on a 12 month basis to cover a period of maternity cover.

The position operates within a small team from Monday to Friday.

The hours for the role are as follows:

Monday to Thursday 08.30 to 17.00 with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break per day

Friday 08.45 to 16.00 with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break

(i.e. 37.5 hours per week)

THE ROLE

The successful International Research and Project Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects associated with export research and quotations including:

•Market research and identification of projects in international markets
•Preparation, recording and reporting of international quotations
•Maintenance and upkeep of the export database
•Working with UK based and international sales teams to support the development of identified new markets

The successful candidate will require:

•Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
•Ability to understand customer needs and the supply chain
•Good communication skills (written and verbal)
•Excellent telephone manner
•Ability to demonstrate good commercial awareness, organisational skills and time management skills
•Ability to speak a second language (desirable)
•Working knowledge of database systems (desirable)
•Experience of international order processing, sales or marketing (desirable)
