Invicta Valves Ltd, part of the AVK Group, specialises in the supply and installation of valves and associated equipment in the Water and Waste Water industry.
We are seeking an experienced, skilled Workshop Machinist to join our workshop based in our Maidstone office.
Essential skills and experience:
- Working well within a team.
- Self-motivated.
- Hard working.
- Able to follow written orders and drawings.
- Use of manual lathes, milling machines and other workshop machinery.
Duties:
- To work alongside existing engineers.
- Good knowledge of using manual lathes and milling machines.
- Screw cutting experience essential.
- Able to use verniers and micrometres.
- Reading of technical drawings.
- Follow a Quality Management System 9001.
- Opportunity for site visits to assist with our on-site engineers.
Option 1: Full time working – The hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm with optional overtime available at busy periods.
Option 2: Part time working – if more suitable for candidate.
Competitive salary depending on experience.
