Role – IT Manager

Location: Harrietsham, Kent

Reporting to: Managing Directors

An exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to work in a fast-growing company based in the UK with a newly-established U.S.A office. This is a highly technical field that offers the opportunity to work with some of the biggest and most cutting-edge technology and aerospace companies in the world.

Reporting to the Managing Directors this role is to manage, implement and maintain on our SAP B1 system, IT infrastructure and associated technologies.

You will be responsible for interfacing the business requirements for process, reporting and analytics into functional areas of the application, then managing the release and testing of these in a controlled fashion to the production platform and supporting them post-release.

Additionally, you will manage the hardware and network infrastructure and any software requirements and will be able to develop the IT department further creating a team to support the company’s growth.

Key Skills

• Broad spectrum of experience with SAP Business One, up to and including R9.3, to encompass
o Installation
o Configuration
o Licensing
o Performance & Tuning
o User management and authorisations
o Patch releases
o General maintenance
o User support of application issues
• Developing and managing Intercompany transactions
• Designing and manipulating reports using MSSQL, Crystal Reports etc.
• Knowledge of web scripting languages – HTML, XML, JSON, JQuery, PHP
• Knowledge of database scripting using SQL
• Boyum B1UP knowledge
• Experience with PHP e-commerce platforms like Magento
• Hardware & network management
• Active Directory management

Specialist Knowledge and Experience
• Systematic and rigorous approach to work.
• Manufacturing sector experience highly desirable.
• Business Process Analysis experience essential.
• Finance and accounting knowledge essential, including multi-currency experience.
• Working knowledge of development methodologies and languages (e.g. C#, VB etc)
• Experience working as part of a team and under own initiative.
• Ability to interact and influence at all levels within an organisation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Actively engaged within SAP B1 user and reseller community, in touch with latest features and relevant legislation.

Qualifications

• Degree in computing or engineering-based subject. Relevant experience also considered
