My Client, one of the largest suppliers to the UK market, is driven by a passion for high quality and pioneering innovation. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager - Shift, to be responsible for the efficient operation of production lines in terms of quality, technical standards, health and safety and human resources. You will ensure that all aspects of the production process adheres to the Company's policies and procedures



The Role: Production Manager - Shift (continental)

To be responsible for organising the production teams, to ensure an efficient production process

Ensure all work undertaken is completed adhering to Hygiene Code of Practice, Health and Safety requirements

Produce reports for senior management including, daily line outputs, production efficiency, down-time reporting etc.

Implement daily, weekly and/or monthly production plans

To run the production operation against set measurable KPI's.

Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times

Manage the time and attendance system, booking agency, managing holidays and disciplinaries

Undertake performance management responsibility for team members, including conducting performance appraisals and training needs

Consistently promote high standards through personal example so that team members understand the behaviours expected

Drive and initiate continuous improvement across the factory to enhance quality, efficiency, performance, safety and waste reduction



Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Production Manager - Shift (continental)

Educated to Degree level (ideal)

Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment

Previous experience of managing people in a manufacturing environment

Experience of planning workload, holidays, and rota scheduling

Ability to delegate, train, lead and monitor workforce

Awareness of CCP, safety and quality issues

Awareness of BRC food manufacturing standards

Ability to lead and motivate a team of people

Embraces personal challenge

Confident and rounded thinker

Good organisational and multi-tasking skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Computer literate and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
