Our pharmaceutical Client based in Kent is currently looking for an Analytical Scientist to join their R&D team. Reporting to a Team Leader, you will provide a range of analytical support to project teams as required.
Duties include:
• Contribute the development and optimisation of analytical test methods, and analysis of samples as needed to support characterization of various products
• Provide the technical expertise on a range of analytical techniques (HPLC/UPLC, GC-MS and other spectroscopic techniques)
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, and participate in instrument qualification
• Record all experimental outcomes
• Identify and escalate promptly any problems occurring at any phase of a study
• Author and review technical documents, such as SOPs, protocols and reports
• Continuously review the effectiveness of existing processes and provide input into process improvements
• Maintain understanding of ICH guidelines and pharmacopoeias
Education/ Skills/ Attributes:
• A minimum of a higher level, scientific degree, ideally with relevant work experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or an analytical/chemistry/forensic sciences PhD
• Experience of analytical method development and validation for pharmaceutical products and assisting in complex investigations
• Track record of delivering to deadlines and being proactive to solve problems
• Experience of working collaboratively with chemists, formulation scientists, regulatory, QA & production is an advantage
