Our established Pharmaceutical Client based in Kent is currently seeking an Analytical Team Leader to join their team. The successful candidate will coach, mentor and lead a team of motivated scientists within R&D.
Duties include:
• Providing strong leadership and people management skills to the team to ensure deliverables are met for the projects
• Oversee analytical method development, validation and tech. transfer activities
• Provide the technical expertise on a range of analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC/UPLC, LC & GC-MS and other spectroscopic techniques) and help promote innovation
• Mentor direct reports to develop and maximise individual and team performances
• Ensure stability data reports are produced in a timely manner and the implications of stability data are communicated effectively
• Continuously review the effectiveness of existing processes
• Apply principles of cGMP, to ensure data is generated and recorded accurately
• Keep up-to-date with relevant ICH guidelines and trends in the pharmaceutical industry
Education / Skills/ Attributes:
• A minimum of a higher level, scientific degree and experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
• Proven experience in line management and staff development
• A track record of delivering to deadlines, being proactive and a desire to use own initiative to improve existing processes
• Skilled in developing methods for a variety of product types and an understanding of the analytical method requirements at the different stages of product development
• Experience of working collaboratively with chemists, formulation scientists, regulatory, QA & production is an advantage
