Duty Manager | Tenterden Leisure Centre
Salary: £19,281.60 per annum + Benefits
Location: Recreation Ground Rd, Tenterden TN30 6RA
Hours: 40 per week, flexibility to work evenings and at weekends is required.

Tenterden Leisure Centre offers a fantastic leisure pool with a range of leisure features including a flume, wave machine and bubble pool, twin pirate slide, tipping buckets, spray rails and treasure chest, which will keep younger swimmers entertained.

We also have a fully equipped fitness suite, a workout studio offering over 27 classes a week, a sports hall, crèche and cafe.

Overview of the role

As the Duty Manager you will manage the facility on a day to day basis ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety as the first priority. The role will involve a high level of customer interaction as well as the deployment and supervision of the department teams.
You will take control and respond in the event of any emergency situation.

Each Duty Manager will be aligned to a specific area of responsibility of which they will be accountable for. Areas include:

• Health, Safety and Quality
• Commercial
• Operations

About you

As the successful candidate you must be able to evidence operational and stakeholder management experience, preferably gained within a Leisure environment.

As a Manager of People you will have extensive experience of managing and successfully leading and developing team across Tenterden Leisure Centre.

You will possess well developed problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively to satisfactorily resolve problems in a systematic and logical manner. Your naturally strong team working, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills will stand you in good stead in this role as will your ability to be assertive and exercise authority when appropriate.

Essential qualifications

• First Aid at Work qualification including AED
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
• Pool Plant Operators Qualification (PPO) – Desirable
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification - Desirable
