Group Credit Control Manager required for a leading business in Canterbury. The business is well established and has experienced impressive recent growth due to the acquisition of a new business into the group. This is a really varied role working strategically to manage credit risk.
The role will have responsibility for setting policies for credit risk management for the group, set credit limits and oversee the collection of sales ledger balances/overdue accounts. Managing a team of 7, this is an excellent opportunity to support the strategy with the senior leadership team of this thriving business.
Summary of duties include;
• Working with Managing Directors and General Managers on credit worthiness of current and prospective customers
• Manage third party service providers in particular credit risk insurers to ensure credit insurance cover is maximised and renewal premium terms are optimised
• Attend monthly credit meetings to discuss overdue accounts and collection issues
• Ensure the credit control team effectively communicate with sales order processing, customer services and customers to ensure effective resolution of invoice disputes
• Supervise and develop credit control and cashier team ensuring achievement of collection targets, team development, objectives setting and performance management
In order to apply, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following;
• Significant experience gained in a product based business
• Experience of leading a similar sized team
• Significant experience advising/decision making on credit risk
• Working with credit insurers
