Watts Farms are seeking an experienced and hard-working Class 1 HGV Driver to join our Transport team at our site in Aylesford, Kent on a 3-month fixed term contract.
What does the job involve?
• Large volume chilled & frozen deliveries across the South East
• Defect reporting ensuring vehicle checks are completed daily before departure and all orders are loaded correctly
• Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner and excellent service is given to the customer
• Drivers at Watts Farms are the face of our business and therefore it is essential we recruit staff who are able to provide an excellent service to our customers
Key Skills / Experience
• Valid HGV licence (Cat C+E – Artic Class 1)
• Must hold a valid DCPC and Digital Tacho card
• Reliable and professional
• Integrity / Strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills with ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Adaptable and able to make decisions
• Experience in a similar work environment would be an advantage
Working hours
• You will work 5 shifts out of 7 per week. These scheduled 5 days can be flexible dependant on preference and/or requirements
• Average of 48 hours per week. Start and finish times will vary.
• Shift start times for this role are generally day time hours starting from 6am-midday however this is subject to customer requirements and may need to be varied
