We are looking for production operatives to join our busy team in our Headcorn facility. You must be passionate about product quality, have great attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure. We currently produce 5 days a week, a lot of our production is manual, and you will be required to operate some commercial machinery. Being able to work as part of a team is imperative, as well as bringing a proactive attitude to work. Physical strength will be very helpful.
You will need to be reliable, able to follow food safety practices and maintain our very high standards of product production and quality. You will be part of every process in production, from working with the raw ingredients, through to operating machinery, filling and packing. We operate with high standards and need to maintain a clean working environment throughout production.
Food manufacturing experience will be a great advantage, but not essential as the most important qualities for our team is having the right attitude and work ethic. We are committed to investing in our team and providing training to help our team grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Key team member in the production and packing
Working with frozen, chilled, liquid and dry ingredients – ensuring consistent production of products.
Completing production paperwork and checks and reporting any issues to the Production Manager.
To take an active role in product change over and start up
Carry out efficient and effective daily clean downs.
Ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas – operating a clean as you go mentality and taking pride in standards of cleanliness being maintained.
Basic machine operation and maintenance
Ensure all work is carried out to the very high standards of the companies’ food safety, and health and safety procedures
Other tasks as required by the production manager – labelling, moving finished products, stock checks, QC, producing samples
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
-Food manufacturing experience is beneficial
-Great communication skills
-Team player and ‘can do’ attitude – reliable and unwilling to let other people down
-Interest in the food and beverage industry / production
-Physically fit and strong
-Good attention to detail – passion for product quality
-Good under pressure – able to work in a fast-paced environment
-Own transport is highly beneficial
-Respectful of other people, and ability to listen to, and follow clear instructions
-Flexible
