Communications Manager

12 month Fixed term contract

Medway

Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 plus benefits

We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager on behalf of our well established financial client based in Medway.

Within this role you will manage all external communications for the business with primary responsibility for broker communications, national account communications and the CRM in order to both promote their brand externally and strengthen existing customer relationships through one to one communications.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with Sales and Products to lead development and execution of intermediary communications and relationship plans using key messages and collateral
* Develop and manage a communications strategy and a supporting delivery plan that effectively incorporates business objectives and customer requirements
* Establish and maintain processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management
* Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content
* Work with internal stakeholders to develop and manage key messages across all areas
* Work to establish closed-loop analytics with sales and learn how their inbound marketing activity generates sales, and continually refine these process
* Work internally to optimise the marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
* Provide guidance, support and editing for all pre-prepared customer communications
* Provide line management and coaching to all direct reports, including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration and recruitment
* Maintain compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations
* Ensure all brand promotions, materials and communications comply with regulatory requirements

Experience and Knowledge

* Strong experience in managing communications across all media channels
* Proven experience in a Communications role developing and managing external communications along with experience of managing agencies which is essential
* Experienced in leading and producing external communications
* Experience of working within the financial industry would be desirable
* Line management experience would be very beneficial
* Good knowledge of how to plan and deliver communications programmes
* Thorough knowledge of brand and tactical communications techniques and associated media
* Experienced in managing stakeholders
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint & Excel
* Some experience of regulated environments , in particular knowledge of Financial Promotions regulation
* Well qualified in both English and Maths and a degree (or equivalent) marketing qualification in essential
