Our client is looking to recruit an energetic, self-motivated and highly service-orientated Business Data Analyst to take ownership of Incidents, Problems and Changes throughout their lifecycle from inception to investigation and on to resolution. This may include leadership, risk management, analysis and testing and maintenance of relationships with colleagues, clients and project sponsors.

You will be assigned specific client services and be accountable for delivering this solution. You will be required to provide appropriate service performance information such as SLA metrics and client satisfaction support continual service improvement, strategy development, service reporting and account management.

The role includes the challenge of dealing with the ‘people’ factor and the wide variety of national and corporate cultures that you will meet in your global daily business. You will be able to draw on a breadth of communication and analysis skills to evidence to stakeholders at all levels the value of the service being delivered. You will need to express yourself clearly and concisely at the level of your audience, be they business people looking for business value, or technical experts looking for technical discipline and rigour.

To apply you must:

· Be educated to graduate level or a professional equivalent.
· Have a sound grasp of computer science, probably demonstrated by qualifications; including an understanding analysis and design.
· Be an excellent communicator, including written and verbal communication and a good listener, with the ability to show empathy, take control and extract all necessary information.
· Be experienced in structured problem-solving. Possibly by being trained and/or certified in a suitable methodology, e.g. Kepner Tregoe.
· Have a minimum of 4 years of practical working experience in an IT application development environment
· Be skilled at Data Analysis and Data Modelling.
· Have formal training and be experienced in structured systems analysis using a recognised methodology (such as SSADM, UML, etc.)
· Develops comprehensive and effective test plans.

And:
· Have a full valid driving licence.
· The ability to travel where required by the client/project in UK and overseas.

Desirable:
· Preference will be given to those who have worked as part of a structured team, rather than as a lone analyst and who have relevant experience of working within the following:
· ITIL/ITSM (Information Technology Infrastructure Library/Information Technology Service Management)
· Prince 2 (project management method)
· Other structured development lifecycle methods such as DSDM, RUP,
· Be competent in UML or the Rational Unified Process
· Object-Oriented Development Approach
· Practical experience of preparing Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Class Diagrams
· Other established quality process methodologies such as BS15000 or ISO 9000 TickIT, COBIT, CMM
· A breadth of commercial experience, both by industry (e.g. Financial services, automotive, not for profit, education) and application type (e.g. accounting, supply chain, content management, budgeting, stock control…)
· Knowledge and experience of standard accounting practices.
