We are currently recruiting for a fantastic organisation that are seeking to recruit an experienced and professional Marketing Communications Manager on an initial 12-month contract.

The role will require you to manage external communications for the company and affiliated companies. Primary responsibility will be for broker communications, national accounts communications and CRM (incl. social media and email) in order to both promote the brand externally and deepen existing customer relationships through 121 communications.

You will also support the development of internal communications as appropriate. The role involves deploying and re-energising the communications strategy for the brand and maintaining / delivering a detailed plan of annual activity.

Duties will include:

* Develop and manage a communications strategy and supporting delivery plan that effectively incorporates business objectives and customer requirements
* Work with Sales and Products to lead development and execution of intermediary communications and relationship plans using key messages and collateral
* Work with internal stakeholders to develop and manage key messages across all audiences
* Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content
* Establish and maintain processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management
* Work across the marketing function to optimise our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
* Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers
* Manage and work closely with our communications and media buying agencies to get optimise all activity
* Drive the performance management agenda, constantly challenging how we track and increase ROI from all activity
* Manage the brand identity and guidelines. Adhere to brand guidelines for use in all communications and ensure these are understood by everyone in the business
* Ensure that activities are evaluated against the business case to build learning back into the plans and deliver continual optimisation of activity
* Provide guidance, support and editing for all pre-prepared customer communications
* Understand the customer segments and champion the customer agenda through detailed research and insight gathering, ensuring that this knowledge is embedded within all communications output
* Ensure all brand promotions, materials and communications comply with regulatory requirements such as TCF
* Line manage and coach all direct reports (2), including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration and recruitment

Skills and experience required:

* Previous experience in managing communications across all media channels is essential
* Previous experience in managing agencies is essential
* Previous experience in a Communications role developing and managing external communications is essential
* Previous experience as primary author of external communications is essential
* Thorough knowledge of brand and tactical communications techniques and associated media is essential
* Thorough knowledge of how to plan and deliver communications programmes is essential
* Thorough knowledge of how to validate the effectiveness of communications is desirable
* Thorough knowledge of managing stakeholders is essential
* Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel is essential
* Thorough knowledge of media buying, digital and social media is essential
* Basic knowledge of regulated environments is essential, in particular knowledge of Financial Promotions regulation
* GCSE/GCE qualifications in both maths and English are essential
* Degree (or equivalent) marketing qualifications is essential
* CIM qualifications are desirable
