Duffields are a family owned animal feed manufacturing business operating near Canterbury, with three other sites throughout the country, making deliveries within the UK.

The Full Time Permanent Role
Duffields are looking for a new Transport & Raw Material Administrator to operate within the Customer Service and Transport Team as well as providing support with raw material planning and ordering. The role will also require a prompt and friendly response to customers and the Sales Team for enquiries and orders.


Key Transport & Raw Material Administrator Responsibilities

Transport Planning

• To assist in transport scheduling to achieve on time and in full deliveries to customers.
• To communicate transport matters to Production Team.

Raw Material Support

• Place orders with suppliers for direct deliveries to customers.
• To assist with raw material planning and ordering for the feed mill.

Customer Service

• Receive customer orders by telephone, e-mail and fax.
• Record all orders on standard order form and accurately enter onto computer system, inform Transport and Production of any changes.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary.


Essential Transport & Raw Material Administrator Requirements

• Previous Customer Service experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal communication skills, motivated and enthusiastic
• Knowledge of transport planning would be desirable but not essential.
