Following a period of exciting expansion The Kings Ferry Group is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Director with vision, creativity and the experience to grow sales & take our brands to the next level.

To become a member of our Senior Team based at our Kent Headquarters you will need to be someone that has extensive experience of implementing sales & marketing strategies to achieve ambitious sales growth.

You must also have significant experience of leading, motivating and developing world class sales & marketing teams.


Primary role:

Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director you will be responsible for driving revenue and profit to achieve the Group’s ambitious growth plans.

A demonstrable track record of developing ‘results driven’ sales teams, strategic marketing plans and market leading customer experiences are all essential for this role

Your daily duties include:

•Deliver YOY sales growth to targeted levels

•Develop multi-year channel sales strategy
•Foresee periods of challenging trading & devise contingency plans for each sales channel designed to keep the Kings Ferry Group ahead, competitive and innovative.
•Identify valuable emerging markets
•Improve sales performance by channel (reduce the sales cycle, improve conversion, productivity and average booking value)
•Analyse existing approaches to sales across each channel and make changes where appropriate
•Lead a pricing review to help increase profit
•Lead and motivate the Sales & Marketing Management Team to ensure high performance and results are achieved
•Create a learning culture. Ensure all direct reports and their teams have the skills and capabilities to perform their roles effectively.
•Provide detailed sales revenue reports, forecasting and budgeting in line with business requirements and at the agreed frequencies
•Work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing to develop a multi-functional Marketing Department which will support future business growth.
•Work with the Sales & Marketing Management Team to develop acquisition and retention strategies for target customer groups
•Evaluate the impact of marketing and other sales growth initiatives, and ensure there is effective measurement and process to achieve business growth
•Develop the customer experience across all sales channels before, during and after travel.
•Develop new and innovative ideas to capture and retain customers using our customer database, outbound and inbound communication streams and technology to personalise customer experience and ultimately provide revenue growth
•Work closely with front line teams to ensure we understand what customers are looking for
•Part of the Kings Ferry Group Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for driving business growth, profitability and innovation

•You must have been operating at Director level or Senior Manager level for at least 5 years
•Degree educated
•Tangible and quantifiable achievements in senior roles
•Breadth and depth of leadership experience gained from working within fast growing organisations
•An individual who thrives on owning and delivering ambitious sales & profit growth
•Ability to develop sales and marketing strategy
•Experience of improving sales performance using the Salesforce platform
•Provide guidance and mentoring to staff through excellent communication and supervision
•Experience of leading change and process improvements
•Candidates with experience of the transport sector would be of particular interest
