Are you ready to help people do something amazing?
Are you outgoing, accommodating, self-motivated, and have a ‘can do’ attitude?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new, Department of Health funded project working with older people and adults with multiple needs. In the Volunteer Coordinator role, you will recruit, train and manage local volunteers to work directly with clients in their homes or the community. The service offers short-term intensive support with the aim of reducing hospital readmissions and improving health and wellbeing.
You will work alongside Social Prescribing colleagues working across North Kent (Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley & Swale) to co-produce support plans, identify the role of the volunteer and match individual volunteers with appropriate attributes. Volunteers will support clients to retain their independence, re-engage in social activities, meet new friends or perhaps try something new.
There is the opportunity to plan, organise and deliver a volunteer recruitment drive; attending events and using social and other media platforms to develop wider networks. You will ensure volunteers receive appropriate training and supervision, and stay in regular communication to make sure they feel supported and fulfilled in their role.
In this role, you will ensure that volunteers understand how to respond to challenging and complex situations with a sensitive and measured response, in line with Imago Safeguarding and Lone Working Policies; as well as keeping up-to-date records using our bespoke database.
You can help others to make a difference.
Post is subject to references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as you will be working in different locations.
To apply, please either submit your CV with a short covering note outlining your CURRENT SALARY or visit our website at www.imago.community to download a full Job Description and application pack.
