Mid-Weight PHP Developer

Our client is looking to add a Middleweight PHP Developer to their growing team. Reporting to the CTO, you will design, develop and test software for a variety of systems that interact with our product.
For all work you will need to consider stability, security, confidentiality and defence against automated hacking tactics.
Typical Accountabilities
Designing and developing systems in PHP
Peer reviewing code
Managing project items to completion
Writing testable code
Competencies
Experience developing in Object Orientated PHP
Demonstrable knowledge in PHP Frameworks, ideally Symfony
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills
Familiar with source code revision control systems (GIT)
Focused on output and quality, with a habit of documenting your work
A good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery)
Automated testing principles and practices
Database design
Bonus Skills
Experience in Agile software development
Experience of using JIRA to facilitate Agile development
Linux, Amazon AWS
Strong attention to detail
All work is managed through JIRA and code changed through version control systems. Code will be monitored over code coverage metrices and team based sprint velocity.
