Red Eagle Recruitment (AGY) is looking to recruit a Hygiene Team Leader (Nights) for our client, a leading provider of freshly prepared food in Dover.

They are looking for an experienced Hygiene Team Leader with the ability to lead and develop a team.

The successful candidate will be forward-thinking, innovative and be able to bring new ideas to the table. You will have managed a significant sized team and have the ability to mentor and motivate members of staff.

Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that operatives in their area are correctly deployed and are performing to standards in adherence to the plan, schedules, specification, health and safety, housekeeping and food safety standards.
• To ensure the delivery of agreed KPIs within their area through the team, making sure that KPIs are understood and systems are in place to collect the necessary data to measure performance against the agreed KPIs.
• Manage performance and attendance of operatives, including all levels of disciplinary action, performance reviews, absence management (including return to work procedures) and holiday authorisation.
• Ensure that operatives are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety and food safety standards in order to maintain a cross – functional, multi – skilled workforce.
• Co-ordinate and report on line improvement activities including time management and Hygiene control processes and associated administration and record keeping
• Undertake team briefs on a daily basis that focus on key performance measures aligned to local activity and to wider business issues.
• Liaise regularly with peers and managers to ensure effective communication through information exchange.
• Generate and distribute weekly/monthly Hygiene KPI reports including but not limited to micro results, chemical usage, manning levels etc
• Work closely with Evening Hygiene Team Leaders to ensure smooth transition

Skills required:
• Good IT skills enabling the completion and understanding of the DWOR and collation of KPIs
• Experience of leading and developing a team
• Strong numerical and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels

Working hours are 9pm – 6am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Basic salary is £27,000 per annum plus a shift allowance of £2,781.
